LENDING LIBRARY
Become a member
1.You have to be a member of MEKIC library in order to borrow books.
2.
The annual membership is $80 and a membership card will be issued and given out upon subscription.
3.
If you borrowed less than three books in the year of your membership, your subscription with the library will be renewed without additional expenses for the following year.
4.
As a member of MEKIC library, you can attend the events organized by MEKIC for free.
Borrowing process
1. The subscriber must present the membership card every time they wish to borrow books. The membership card is not transferable to another person. The subscriber is responsible for all that is borrowed by the membership card. 2.Members are allowed to borrow up to three books at the same time from MEKIC library.

MEKIC does not make any loan of the beaux livers.
4. The duration of the loan is normally four weeks. The date of return is indicated at the time of the loan.

Members must pay an additional deposit of 30$ to borrow rare books. This deposit will be given back upon the return of the book.
Renewal of the loan
The borrower can only extend the return of one book for an extra two weeks. Members must come to the library in order to change the due date. The loan can not be extended if the book is already returned late or reserved by someone else before hand.
Reservation
Members can reserve books. When the book is available the borrower will be informed by the library staff.
Delay
MEKIC library gives two notices for the late returns. If the books are not returned after the second notice the receipt for the books will be given to the borrower for purchase. If a document is missing, the subscriber must pay the replacement cost of the lost document or defected document as well as a fine and the administrative expenses of $5. If the book is returned to the library after three months and is still in good conditions the money can be refunded. Please note that the administrative expenses and the fine will not be refunded. If library member continues to ignore the notices sent out by the library the membership will be cancelled and the annual fee will be retained by the library.
